KS2 Athletics Tournament
On a snowy wet Tuesday afternoon in January, 11 Year 5/6 and one brave Year 4 pupil went to Cranbourne School to take part in an inter-school Sportshall Athletics Competition. There were 8 schools present on our day and 16 schools competing on other days.
The pupils from Cliddesden took part in standing long-jump, chest pass throw, speed bounce, foam javelin throw, and a target throw in the field events.
The running events were competed over three distances (lengths of the hall) with a tricky tight turn around cones at each end. There were also 2 relays. The team learnt a great deal, showed great perseverance and resilience against an extremely strong competition.
