Willow Class - Castle Themed Parent Workshop

Willow class enjoyed an exciting castle themed day on Thursday. We tried medieval dancing in the morning, prepared a feast for the afternoon and enjoyed reading the book Dragon Stew. In the afternoon our grown up’s joined us for lots of different activities. We created colourful potions and had brilliant ideas for how to use them; blowing up houses, turning people into frogs or unicorns and many other things! There was an enormous castle built from a range of materials.

Dragon stew was very popular with lots of children working hard to cook stews for different animals. Fredrick the dragon’s maths challenge was completed by some of the children as was the numicon castle challenge .

We finished by eating our delicious afternoon tea, using our best Queenly manners. We then treated our grown ups to a performance of our ‘I’m a knight song’ showing them the words and actions, so that they could join in the fun too!
