Chestnut Class visit Farleigh Church
As part of our RE topic ‘The Church’ Chestnut Class went to visit St Andrews Church in Farleigh Wallop on Tuesday 17th October. We walked up The Drove and Reverend Stephen was waiting for us to arrive. Once we arrived, we went into the church and sat down in the pews and Rev. Stephen told us about the history of the church and then we were able to ask him lots of questions about the church and Christian worship.
After we had asked all of our excellent questions, we split into two groups to look at both the inside of the church and the outside. Rev. Stephen told us about in important parts of a Church and explained when they are used and why they are important. Outside the Church, Mr Davies and Mrs Duffy showed us around and we looked at how the church was built and the area around it. After this, we walked back to school.
