Gymnastics Competition
Over this half term the children of Cliddesden Primary School have been developing their gymnastic skills. They have worked in house teams to develop routines that include a number of technical elements. Throughout the process teamwork has been key. The children performed their routines to music and were scored on content, musical awareness and timing, transitions and artistic execution.
During the competition we saw a range of content including strong shapes and good balance from all classes. Throughout the KS2 classes we saw a range of impressive counterbalances, shoulder stands and bridges. The routines demonstrated strength and balance and many listened and moved to the music well.
Throughout the competition all pupils demonstrated good sportsmanship qualities, they listened and showed respect throughout other children's routines.
Teamwork was clear in the routines and determination was demonstrated when performing in front of an audience.
All teams were gracious and respectful when they received their scores from the the four judges and many laughs were had when we had a guest appearance from Mrs Montgomerie in the style of Craig from Strictly.
