Festive Carols

School Carols

Our school carols was a lovely way to get into the festive spirit and what a great turn out we had.

Children, staff, family and friends joined in with traditional carols, 'Once in Royal David's City,' 'Little Donkey,' 'Away in a Manger,' 'Silent Night' and a school favourite 'The Gift.'  A number of adults learnt a new carol 'Lift up Lightly the Stable Bar' and were soon joining in with the children.  Our school choir treated us to a number of their songs and carols with the whole school finishing with, of course, 'We Wish you a Merry Christmas.'

9 Lessons and Carols at

St Leonard's Church

To finish this very busy term, our school choir attended the 9 Lessons and Carols at St Leonard's Church where they opened the service with the first verse of 'Once in Royal David's City.' They also sang 'Mary's Boy Child' and 'Away in a Manger.'

Many people commented on how beautifully they sang and the Bishop of Basingstoke thought they were amazing.

Yet again they have been a true credit to our school supporting the community in yet another successful event.
