Konflux Theatre Workshop
On Thursday 4th February 2016 Simon from Konflux Theatre came to school to work with Oak and Chestnut Classes. He ran two drama workshops during the day exploring the themes of E-Safety and Cyber Bullying. We all had a great time learning about an important subject in a fun way. The two classes then came together and worked on a play about everything they had learnt during their workshops. The parents were then invited to watch the finished performance. The end product was informative yet amusing and showcased the knowledge we had gained throughout the day. They finished the play by giving the audience their top tips on how to be safe online and combat cyberbullying.
- Use nicknames or made up names instead of your real name
- Never share your password
- Use your computer or tablet in a safe shared space
- Think before you type – What you say online can hurt other people’s feelings
Finally, Remember:
Zip it! – Don’t give out personal information online
Block it! – Block people who are being offensive
Flag it! – report anything you are unhappy with to an adult or authority figure
The children worked hard all day, remembering a lot of lines in a short period of time and really enjoyed themselves.
