Year 1 and 2 Perform Workshop

On Wednesday 17th June, Key Stage One had a visit from Rosie the Ringmaster from Perform. She had come all the way from the circus but she had a BIG problem! Leo the Lion was feeling very grumpy and didn't want to perform at the big show! Rosie the Ringmaster asked the children if they could help to cheer the lion up, and of course, the children were more than willing! But first, we had to go through some special tests - we had to show Rosie the Ringmaster we could juggle, tightrope walk and be excellent clowns! We had to be really funny clowns in order to cheer up the very grumpy lion before the show.

So we put on our clown wigs, our clown noses and painted our faces and practised our mime, ready to cheer up Leo! All the children were very funny, pulling silly faces and doing all sorts of silly moves! Leo the Lion laughed lots and luckily, he changed his mind and went back to the circus!

We finished the drama workshop by learning a funny poem about a rodeo rider...

Rodeo Rider, riding round the ring,
Ripped his pants on a spiky thing!
His pants came off and HO HO HO!
Rodeo Rider stopped the show!

Year 1 and 2 had a brilliant afternoon with Rosie the Ringmaster!
