SAT's Breakfast and Power League

Report by:  Maddy and Alex

The Year 6's in Class G were treated to a beneficial (and delicious) breakfast club.

Each morning (Monday-Thursday) were were treated to a bowl of cereal followed by an optional hot meal or some buttered toast.  On Monday we had brilliant beans on toast, Tuesday we got to enjoy some superb scrambled eggs.  After that - Wednesday - we had some succulent sausages and finally we were entranced by some blissful bacon.  All thanks to Mrs Hardy, our hard-working cook.

Despite the amusing sizzling sausages and toast, which unexpectedly burnt and caused us to evacuate the school and call the fire brigade but enabled us to eat outside on the wonderful Wednesday at Cliddesden School.

Aside from this slight disturbance the whole four days ran smoothly due to the phenomenal food and an exquisite atmosphere.  We were all refreshed and ready for our SAT's!  Which we all did our best at on the days.

Niamh quoted, "I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast and I appreciate that the staff got up early for us."

Phoebe quoted, "The food was delicious and I really enjoyed it."

Ashleigh quoted, "The quality of the food was fabulous and delicious; I hope this carries on in the future."

A relief that the heavy burden was lifted off our shoulders and now looking forward to a whole day of PE at Brighton Hill School.

We experienced some stupendous activities such as silly races, handball (we called ourselves the Nibs) and more before lunch. The majority of the girls enjoyed the trampoline and the left over girl(s) and boys believed handball was the best.

Mr Graham quoted, "A fantastic reward for Year 6 pupils and a well-deserved treat."

Mia B quoted, "I found it an enjoyable experience which I will never forget."

Our thanks to Mr Davies and all staff involved in preparing us for our SAT's tests and for the breakfasts, biscuits, juice and PE day.  It was fantastic.
