Whole School Cross Country
On Thursday 21st May 2015 the entire school competed in a cross-country race over our school grounds. The race was a kilometre long, which sounds a short distance but it wasn’t.
They started in the field then went through the car park and into the playground. They then went out of the playground and round the side of the field. Lastly, they got to the top of the field and came charging down with every last breath they had in their bodies.
In each class there were two races, one boy’s race and one girl’s race, both the same distance. Unfortunately not everyone got the place they wanted. On the other hand they were still standing by the end.
In most cases the fastest boy got a better time than the girls but in Oak class, year 5 and 6, the girls got a much better time than most of the boys.
In Oak class Ryan and Verity were the winners of their races.
