KS1 Perform Workshop
Perform 4All came to visit Key Stage 1 and the workshop started with the children working in pairs following simple instructions from the 'Little Green Alien' such as sitting back to back, some more confusing ones like Astronaut to Astronaut and some more amusing ones, bottom to hand!
The children were then split into groups, working as a team to make a freeze frame of a picture in space. Group 1 had to make the Planet Saturn, Group 2 a rocket and Group 3 a shooting star complete with 5 points. Everyone worked fantastically as a team and their freeze frames were amazing! Their journey continued into outer space - seat belts and helmets on, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and blast off to visit the man on the moon and we learnt to recite his poem.
The next stop was to Planet Venus to collect love dust to sprinkle over the Cruel Commander on Planet Mars. The children had brilliant fun sprinkling their dust over the room, only stopping and freezing when the 'Cruel Commander' returned. Their adventure was complete with the Cruel Commander turning good.
Lots of fun was had by all.

The man on the moon is a moody old loon
He mumbles and mutters and mocks
Chomping cheese all day long
We say phwoar what's that pong?
You smell like a pair of old socks.
