Harvest Sale
This event is a sure favourite with the children and truly reflects our school's Ethos and Values. The Year 6 pupils helped organise and run this event alongside our Student Council. The older children also helped, supported and encouraged our younger children to select their purchases and handle money, a great practical way to demonstrate their Maths skills.
A big thank you to you all for donating foods of all different kinds.
We raised an incredible £239.40 from the sale. The Student Council has decided to donate the money raised to The Camrose Centre, Basingstoke.
This charity supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Basingstoke and Deane. They provide short-term relief in the form of food, shelter, laundering and washing facilities. Their aim is to promote fulfilling lifestyles, emotional wellbeing and support long-term changes for those experiencing the effects of homelessness, substance misuse, mental ill-health, poverty, domestic violence, unemployment and social isolation. They support those in need to identify and take positive steps towards change through their drop-in centre and deliver a range of support services.
