Willow Class - Pirate Day
Pirate day in Willow Class was very exciting.
Everyone arrived in amazing pirate costumes and set to work making our pirate ship. We made a mast, sail and sides big enough for us all. Then we had to test out the plank! Afterwards, we played a pirate game, meeting sharks, doing pirate jobs and firing the cannons!
In the morning, the pirate captain asked us to complete some jobs. We wrote messages in bottles and tested to see if they floated and didn’t get wet! We made ships and checked if the lego pirate got wet. Then we made balancing parrots, and they did perch on our fingers!
In the afternoon, we all went on a treasure hunt. We found clues and numbers hidden in pirate chests. The numbers matched a letter to spell the secret pirate password.
We told it to Second mate Sumner who gave us some shiny sweetie treasure to eat, and one to take home in the clay treasure pots we’d made.
We had a great day and say a big Arrhh! (pirate for thank-you) to everyone who helped.
