Privett
Our year 4 children spent 3 days and 2 nights on their residential at the Privett Centre. For many, this was their first time they had slept away from home and they all coped admirably.
The weather was kind to us and after unpacking and making lunch, we went for a walk to enjoy our beautiful countryside surroundings. The following day was spent at Queen Elizabeth Country Park where we went pond dipping and found lots of tadpoles, a couple of newts and if we looked carefully, we could see a wealth of much smaller pond life. This was followed by orienteering and den building and we finished the day climbing a very steep hill and was rewarded with a play on the newly built play park. Our final day was spent packing up, tidying the centre and a visit to the local church right next door where we learnt so much about the local community.
We returned to school tired and happy.
