Oak Class Table Tennis Tournament
Our newly founded Table Tennis Team took part in a Basingstoke schools competition at Costello School. All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and as always were excellent ambassadors for the school. A special mention to Carys who got as far as the girls semi-final and was awarded a bronze medal.

Eight people from Oak Class visited Costello Secondary School on Tuesday 12th January 2016. Carys, Ryan, Fred, Katie, Thomas, Max, Finley and James firstly played three matches, however Carys only played two.
After that we either played a plate game, those didn’t get through the first round, or a main game, those who qualified. Carys, Ryan, James and Fred got through to the quarter finals. However, only Carys got to the semi- finals, and unfortunately lost after a tight match. As she lost in the semi-finals, Carys received a bronze medal, that she is very proud of. Overall we all did really well as first timers, and I’m sure, all really enjoyed the tournament.
