Year 3 and 4 Sparkling Tag Rugby Tournament

On Wednesday 10th June, Cliddesden Year 3 and 4 Tag rugby team: Fred, the Team Captain, Sam, Luis, Frankie, Katie, Cameron, Max, Adam, Elspeth, Emily, Soloman and Guy went to Overton Police Sparkling Tag Rugby tournament.
We played 6 matches. Our first match was against Kings Furlong, we drew with them 1-1. Our second match was against Burghclere, we beat them 4-2. Sam scored an excellent hat-trick (3 tries) and Fred scored one try. Match three we won 4-1, it was a comfortable win. Match four we won with a score of 3-1. Match five was against St Martin’s, which we lost by one tri with a score of 2-1 to them. Match six we won 3-1.

St. Martins were the strongest team in our group; they won every game in the group although they were knocked out in quarterfinals.
We won the fair play award in our group. We also found out that we were one point away from going through to the quarterfinals!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Tag Rugby Tournament and we were amazed with our results.
