Chestnut Class Parent Workshop
Chestnut class and their parents had the opportunity to take part in a roof building afternoon, to support their topic on Pre Historic Britain. The children had previously experimented with a range of materials and had decided which materials worked best, for our models.
A wide range of roof styles were produced; the children and their parents came up with a range of methods to join and make their roofs stable. Everybody worked collaboratively and showed high levels of resourcefulness to overcome any issues.
The roofs were then used in our models of Stone Age round houses, that we constructed following our visit to Butser Hill farm.
