Oak Class Parent Workshop
Oak class invited a family member into school to share a topic workshop. The session began by children sharing their own narrative stories, based on The Silver Swan by Michael Morpurgo, with an adult. The adults were pulled in by each and every story read. The children then shared their topic books and what they had learnt about their Rivers Topic. To test what the children (and adults!) had learnt over the half term, Miss Pugh prepared a class quiz for children and adults to take part in. Each table had to decide on a team name, these included: ‘Team Tadpole’, ‘Mississippi’, ‘Amazing Amazon’, ‘Selborne Shuffle’, Team TED’ and ‘Wicked Water Lilies’. The quiz consisted of 8 rounds and each focussed on a different topic. The quiz was great fun and each team scored highly in marks- well done to all!
