Willow Class - Parent's Workshop: Queen of Hearts
There has been great excitement in Willow Class because we welcomed a ROYAL visitor into our class!
The Queen of Hearts wrote to us from Nurseryland hoping we could help her. You may not know this but she's rather fond of jam tarts however she feels they may not be the most healthy choice. The Queen wondered if we could give her some ideas for healthy food.
We all came up with lots of lovely choices for her; some of our ideas included lots of different fruit and vegetables, brown bread, cereal and "a teeny bit of chocolate for later if she's good"!!
We invited The Queen to come and see us prepare some healthy food and then try it. Our grown ups came into school to help us (peeling and cutting fruit and veg can be tricky) make salad sandwiches, juicy fresh fruit salad and crunchy chunky vegetables with pitta bread and houmous.
We all tried everything, including the Queen, who thought it was all quite delicious. She said that we'd been a very big help and that she was looking forward to trying our ideas out at the palace.
