About Friends

“Friends of Cliddesden Primary school” is the charity that is run by parents and family members to help raise funds for use in extending and developing the learning experience of each pupil within the school. Friends is a great way of getting to know other families and staff whilst making a real contribution to the quality of school life for all.

There are a series of events carried out within the academic year, however our main event is the Summer Fete and BBQ with other smaller events run throughout the rest of the year. We are always looking for people to get involved in friends and put forward new and different ideas! Whether you can make meetings or not, any help is always appreciated.

The money that has been raised over recent years has been used to provide a subsidy for school trips, Books for the Library, Computer Equipment, resources, swimming lessons plus much more…

Summer Disco

Despite the intermittent rain showers, we held our 2025 Summer fete on the field. The usual delights of cakes from the Beech tea room, to a fruity Pimms or a burger, were on offer.

This year saw the return of the very successful toy stall organised by two of the schools parents - Alicia and Lauren, and once again did a great job with selling donated pre loved toys. There were old skool games (splat the rat, hook a duck and many more), beat the goalie and not forgetting Lilibet the horse - Mrs Jordan's delightful pony made another appearance and allowed the children to come and groom her.

The arena saw a performance by the school's dance club ECDC who showed us their moves, and new for this year saw Cliddesden's first Hobby Horse Derby which proved very popular with the children and adults alike!

We also had a treat for the Star Wars fans with a visit from a costumed member of the Rebel Legion.

The atmosphere was one of joy and laughter and many happy little faces about the field.

A huge thank you goes out to all involved from the event organisers, helpers and attendees. We will soon announce the final takings from the day so stay tuned for an announcement about this very soon.

Second Hand Uniform Shop

We have a stock of good condition uniform to purchase at a great price. Items start as little as £1.

For requests please email Friends or drop a message on their Face Book Page.

If you have any uniform you would like to donate, please drop it into the school Office.

Next Meeting

We meet once a month, usually on a Thursday, at a local venue accessible for all. We will meet more regularly when planning our big annual sunmmer fete.
