WELCOME TO

CLIDDESDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dear Parents,

As Headteacher I am proud to lead an inclusive school with a dedicated staff and a supportive community, committed to providing high standards in education.

We are a small school in a rural setting but close to the main town of Basingstoke. Being small we know our pupils very well and the level of care and nurture is strong. We see each child as an individual and ensure all our pupils'  needs and learning styles are met, and everybody gets the attention that they deserve.

We have a strong and experienced staff, both teachers and learning support assistants, and we share our strengths across the curriculum and school life. Everybody is seen as a leader in their field.

The staff and governors of the school believe that it is essential that children work in an atmosphere of high expectation and appropriate challenge that is balanced with pupil wellbeing and nurture. We aim to create and maintain an effective partnership between home and school and develop a shared responsibility for your child's education.

We provide a curriculum that is both interesting and motivating and enables children to broaden their knowledge and understanding so that they are fully equipped to succeed in any of the learning challenges that lie ahead of them. We provide a learning environment that promotes excellence and enjoyment, enriches personal development,  and supports pupil and staff well-being. We provide opportunities for our children to grow into confident citizens who can make a positive contribution to their communities.

Our school is situated within the beautiful countryside of the Hampshire Downs and although located only 3 miles from central Basingstoke, the locality is in contrast to the the town's urban environment.

This website gives essential information about our school and the way we work.  There may be more questions that you have in relation to your own child that are not addressed within this site.  Please contact the school to see how we can accommodate you.
