Monday 21 March

We arrived safely, unpacked and we were excited to be shown around the site by our leader Rich. We had time to play a quick game on the ‘mini Wembley’ pitch before tucking into a huge, delicious 2 course meal. After that we ventured down to the beach before returning to our dorms for a quick room inspection followed by our evening activity ‘passport to the world’. This consisted of orienteering around the site using our geographical knowledge and skills.

Tuesday 22 March

We woke up to a beautiful blue sky and the seagulls crying. We were well rested, had a full breakfast and were ready for the day ahead.
We enjoyed a selection of activities:  Jacob’s ladder, low ropes, abseiling, sensory trail, problem solving, archery, buggy building and trapeze. Some of these activities were extremely challenging but we all worked together as a team and supported each other to do our best.
After a huge dinner and when darkness set in, we were challenged to a game of ‘ambush’ around the site. Exhausted, we returned ready for our beds.

Wednesday 23 March

All children were settled early last night and had a great sleep surfacing at 6.30am to get ready for breakfast and the day ahead. Today is another beautiful day. We enjoyed a selection of the following activities: zip wire, rifle shooting, trapeze, survivor, Jacob’s ladder, orienteering, abseiling and problem solving.
We were able to visit the shop today followed by a story and songs round the camp fire with our leader Rich and his friend Garrett.
We are so proud of all of our children. Each and everyone of them is showing incredible resilience and are thoroughly enjoying their experience.

Thursday 24 March

The week continues to bring us glorious weather. Everyone slept well last night and we got ready for a day of: archery, orienteering, giant swing, problem solving, buggy building, archery, low ropes, rifle shooting and zip wire. This evening we participated in The Million Pound Drop which resulted in much debate.
Everyone is sleeping, eating well and embracing the challenges presented to them. Children are encouraged to set themselves a personal challenge for each activity and try their best to achieve it. The children are most certainly demonstrating our school values.

Friday 25 March

Our final day brings the following activities: buggy building, climbing, sensory trail and survivor.

The sun has shone down on us in the most stunning setting. PGL have been the best hosts, the catering team have accommodated our every need and Rich has kept us all going with his boundless energy and enthusiasm, he really is the best.

We are coming home with many happy memories. We have developed our independent skills, shown resilience, set ourselves challenges and worked as a team to achieve these. We all had personal goals and we all succeeded and embraced the experience fully.

We can’t wait to be home to tell you about our adventures.
