Dance Workshops
On Thursday we were lucky enough to be visited by Sam from Sainsbury’s Active Kids. She worked with every class throughout the day and taught us a Rock’n’Roll dance
The children were told to get into pairs facing each other and were first taught how to do the kicks. One move we all found tricky was turning through our arms but after practicing a few times, we all started to get the hang of it. Because Sam was so impressed with how quickly we learnt the moves, she even taught some classes a mini lift!
Although the dance was tricky, the children all had a go and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Many of the children had never taken part in Rock’n’Roll dancing before, offering them an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill. Thank you to the Sainsbury’s Active Kids staff for working with the school and creating a fun, energetic session that we could all get involved with!
