A lovely warm day for our 2019 sports day.
Excitedly, the children arrived at Brighton Hill school. Register was taken and the children sorted themselves into their house teams.
The Brighton Hill sports leaders helped the children to warm up and then each house captain led their team out to the sports arena before they went to the first of their Athletic Skill Stations.
Children had been preparing for these during their PE lessons. These included jumping circuits, throwing, rugby shuttles, a water race and dribble hockey/football and bouncing a tennis ball on a racket around cones.
It was great to see so much support and encouragement across the two key stages.
The second part of the morning was enjoyed watching the children in the sprint races, egg and spoon and relay races finishing off with up and over. Family and friends stayed for a picnic lunch with the children.
Many thanks to Brighton Hill for allowing us to use their facilities and a big thank you to the Brighton Hill young sports leaders. What a credit to your school you are.
Also a huge well done to all of our children for taking part and showing Real PE values.
