Year 4 Heartstart
Children in year 4 attended the heartstart workshops throughout the week; these are intended to teach the children lifesaving skills.
The children learnt how to recognise the symptoms of someone who maybe having a heart attack or cardiac arrest and how to deal with the situation, including how to perform CPR.
They learnt how to put someone into the recovery position when they are unconscious and how to help someone if they are choking.
It was noted by the instructor that the children listened carefully, asked appropriate questions and used equipment with respect and enthusiasm.
Well done Chestnut year 4 you may one day need these skills to save a life.
