November 2023
Kempshott Juniors 2 Cliddesden 3

Cliddesden's football team took part in their first fixture of a local school's league in November against Kempshott Junior School.

It was an excellent game with both school's showing skill and determination. In the first half Kempshott scored two goals and a half time motivational talk was required. We changed a few positions and tactics which worked well. In the second half we pulled back two  goals within the first few minutes and finished with a third with just minutes to go. The final result was 3-2 to Cliddesden. Well done to all the team and to hat-trick hero Matthew for scoring all our goals.

December 2023
North Waltham 1 Cliddesden 1

Our football team played their second game in the league against North Waltham. It was a tough match with both teams playing some quality football and they were evenly matched. The result of 1-1 was a very fair one as there was nothing to separate the teams. I gave ‘Cliddesden player of the match’ to Joseph for excellent goalkeeping.

March 2024

Our football team played their last league game this season against Park View. Going into the match both schools were top of the league on equal points with Cliddesden having a slightly better goal difference. However, this was our toughest game yet against a very strong side. Park View started well and were 2-0 up within a few minutes but we managed to equalise and then go 3-2 up in the first quarter.

At the end of the second quarter the score was 4-4 but in the end Park View proved too strong and finished the game winning 7-4. Our team played well and for a small school, coming second in the league was a significant achievement.
