Year 1 and 2 Xylophone Concert
The children in Year 1 and 2 have been working very hard in their music lessons this term, learning to play tuned percussion. They have played a variety of tunes on xylophones, metallophones and chime bars. On Friday 14th July they performed in a fantastic concert for parents and Year R pupils. The Year 1s gave an incredible performance of pieces they had learnt by heart, including Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Hickory Dickory Dock, as well as performing their own composition based on Aquarium from Carnival of the Animals. The Year 2s then followed with some exciting pieces such as Boogie and Cha Cha Cha which had everyone in the audience tapping their feet! All of the children have done really well learning to play all of the pieces by memory and I have had a lot of fun teaching them this year. Well done everyone!
